ASPEN, CO (Jan. 26) - Jamie Anderson made the most of her technical skills on the rails to take a fourth career X Games gold in slopestyle snowboarding. In the men's comp, Chas Guldemond finished fourth, just off the podium, as the X Games continued Saturday with slopestyle snowboarding. Guldemond beat out Shaun White (Carlsbad, CA) who was fifth. Mark McMorris of Canada took the win. Both Guldemond and Anderson took titles two weeks earlier at the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix at Copper Mountain. Slopestyle snowboarding will make its Olympic debut next year in Sochi, with official FIS World Cup test events scheduled there next month.

QUOTES
Jamie Anderson
The course was absolutely amazing and really challenging, it took all week for me to put it together. I truly didn't know exactly how it was going to go. I was building my run up everyday this week, the jumps were some of the biggest jumps I've ever hit. This is my tenth year at X Games. I started in snowboardcross and changed to slopestyle at 15 years old and it's really cool to see us all progressing slopestyle  together. I really tried to connect with the energy here and get centered and I am thankful it worked out for me.

Chas Guldemond
I love the X Games and even though a podium would be nice, I'm still stoked on my fourth fourth at X Games. I was a little disappointed with some of my mistakes in my run, but I love snowboarding and I had fun.

The level of riding continues to progress at every competition. Chas is riding really well, but he has a little bit of work to do. McMorris' triple has really set the bar for a whole new level of competition. Chas has all the tools and talent to put it all together. I am excited to see where he takes his riding. He has such a love for snowboarding and it always shows in his riding and attitude.
