Diggins Leads USA in Mass Start |

NOVE MESTO, Czech Republic (Feb. 11) – Jessie Diggins (Afton, MN) led the USA to 33rd in a 15k mass start FIS Cross Country World Cup in Nove Mesto. It was a rare day without an American in the points. Norway’s Marit Bjoergen and Poland’s Justyna Kowalczyk finished one-two with Johann Olsson of Switzerland taking the men’s 30k. Relays are scheduled for Sunday.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Jessie Diggins (Afton, MN) led the USA in 33rd in a 15k mass start in Nove Mesto.
- Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) sat out the race, dropping from fourth to fifth in the World Cup overall. She remains in the sprint lead.
- Kris Freeman was 41st to lead the U.S. men in the 30k
- Relays are set for Sunday
