The Audi Ski Challenge is a ski racing competition that brings together local ski racing fans in support of Audi and the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association. Each event is held at a domestic U.S. Ski Team event and is open to the public. The top two winners from each stop will win an exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime trip to race with the U.S. Ski Team at the U.S. Alpine Championships.

Rules

The Audi Ski Challenge is a dual giant slalom race with each competitor racing both the red and blue course. Racers without a bib will not be allowed to race.

The two winners (one male and one female) will be determined from the best time of his/her best run. The fastest two times will win the grand prize.  The winners must be present at the awards to receive details of their prize.

The race is free and open to the public. Lift tickets not included.

Prizes

Audi and the U.S. Ski Team will award the following prizes to the top two winners from Vail, Aspen, Beaver Creek, and Squaw Valley:

• Official 2012/13 Ski Team Jacket
• VIP experience provided by the U.S. Ski Team
  • VIP pass--Three days of skiing, access to all VIP functions
  • Including early lift access to ski with U.S. Ski Team athletes
  • Meet and greet with the 2012/13 U.S. Alpine Ski Team
  • VIP gift bag

Each winner will be allowed to bring one guest to the U.S. Alpine Championships. For official rules, click here.

To register, download and fill out the Waiver and Release of Liability form and the Registration form. Email the completed forms to audiskichallenge@ussa.org.

All events are open and free to the public. However, each race will have a 150-competitor maximum.

Online registration open until Tuesday, March 19, 2013.

On-site registration will be on Wednesday, March 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Tram Promenade

Bibs and helmets are required on all race days.
