Additional Info

Patrick “Paddy” Caldwell will be the newest Caldwell to further the family’s U.S. Cross Country legacy, earning a spot on the U.S. Development Team for 2014-2015. He followed cousin Sophie to the squad, and adds needed depth to the U.S. men’s sprint ranks.

Caldwell finds himself in the U.S. Team mix after an impressive 2014, which saw him earn his first All-American nod as a Dartmouth freshman and ski to an incredible 10th at the Junior World Ski Championships Skiathlon 10k.

Previous to that, Caldwell was part of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in 2012, taking fifth in the men’s sprint. He added a SuperTour victory in the 1k freestyle sprint in Bozeman, Montana, that same year.

Caldwell skis with Stratton Mountain School in addition to the Big Green, and looks forward to a chance at World Cup competition as early as next season.
