Patrick “Paddy” Caldwell extends the legacy of the Caldwell skiing family - his father was a World Cup racer in the late 1970s and early 1980s and he's the cousin of teammate Sophie Caldwell. A leader in the U.S. ranks throughout the last three seasons, Caldwell added to his collection of results in 2014-15, finishing in the top-20 in both of the distance races at the FIS U23 World Ski Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan and demonstrated strength in the domestic races. Racing for Dartmouth College, Caldwell also won the NCAA Championship 10k freestyle race held in Lake Placid.

This is his second year on the U.S. Ski Team, named after an impressive 2014, which saw him earn his first All-American nod as a Dartmouth freshman and ski to an incredible 10th at the Junior World Ski Championships Skiathlon 10k. Caldwell skis with Stratton Mountain School in addition to the Big Green and U.S. Ski Team.

FIRST TRACKS
Caldwell grew up in the small town of Lyme, NH with his two older sisters. With their supportive parents, the three spent their childhoods skiing, hiking and exploring - nurturing a love for the outdoors. He left his home high school to attend Stratton Mountain School in his junior year.

OFF THE SNOW
Caldwell is studying geography and economics at Dartmouth.
